A cold nose for warm clothes

I'll be swimming in the ocean or rivers each day of the winter to raise funds for local youth who are without warm clothing and footwear.

Bay of Plenty

I have recently been getting involved with with Tauranga Youth Development Services. One issue they are trying to tackle is the struggle some families face to provide warm clothes for their children.

I am going to swim in the ocean, lakes or rivers every day of the winter to help raise some funds to this particular cause.

Seeing young kids walking to school on bitter winter mornings with no shoes or jackets is a chilling sight, not to mention the embarrassment it can bring, and the affect that embarrassment can have on a child's mental state in the formative years.

Two amazing local businesses - Enspire Consulting Limited and V8 Trikes Tours NZ have jumped on board to match each dollar raised up to $1000 with a 500$ pledge each.

You are all more than welcome to join me! or alternatively post a pic of your winter swim with the hashtag #coldnoseforwarmclothes and share the event and givealittle page around. Any size donation is greatly appreciated and will make a direct impact on our youth here in Tauranga.
