A Community Healed by Jerome — Now He Needs Us

He crossed the finish line of a half marathon… and moments later, his life changed forever.

Jerome De Silva suffered seven heart attacks and has been in hospital since last month.

Many of us know Jerome from DeSilva Massage and Health. He’s spent years helping others through pain, injury, and life’s harder moments — always with kindness, care, and a genuine desire to help people feel better.

Now, he is facing one of the hardest battles of his life.

As a sole trader, Jerome’s work is his only source of income — and right now, that income has stopped. He hadn’t yet put trauma cover in place, leaving no financial safety net during this incredibly difficult time.

He has recently bought a home with his wife and their children. What should have been a joyful new chapter has quickly become a time of uncertainty and financial strain.

In Jerome’s own words, his heart is only functioning at around 50%, leaving him exhausted and struggling to breathe as fluid builds in his lungs. He’s had stents put in both sides of his heart (1 on the left and 2 on the right).

Right now, his focus is simply getting through each day and finding his way back to health.

We have a chance to stand beside him.
