Bevan is raising funds to help him reach his dream to see his son again after being given a 75% chance of success rate
Gisborne
January 2021 Bevan had a quad bike accident at Waihau Beach in Gisborne, he was critical condition with a major head injury and numerous other injuries. Bevan was put into an induced coma and flown to Waikato for further testing and the best care he could get. Bevan is a fighter and strong willed and after a lot of long days was taken out of his coma and on the road to recovery. It wasn't until bevan got up for the first time that doctors and family noticed Bevan could not see. Bevans optical neve had been squashed from the impact to his face. The optic nerve can not be repaired or replaced with surgery.
Bevan has held on to hope that one day he will see something again, see his son, his family, friends and be able to do the things he loved again. After a lot of research and trials of smart glasses we found a treatment facility in Berlin who has given him a 75% chance that electrical stimulation will help Bevan to see something again. Bevan wishes to get two treatments while he is over there if we can raise the funds to do so.
I am Bevans younger brother, Bevan lives with Myself and Family
