A fathers worse nightmare!! A precious daughter taken, and a precious daughter fighting for her life, From one accident.

To give Jason the funds he needs to help Sunmara fight and come home and a headstone for Tayla

Canterbury

This is for donations to help Jason Alexander and his family. If your not aware, Jason got the phone call no parent would ever want. There had been an accident and his oldest daughter Tayla had died and his youngest daughter Sunmara was in a critical condition.

He made the heartbreaking decision to fly to Auckland to be with Sunmara while doctors are doing what they could. Meanwhile in Ashburton his friends helped prepare for the funeral of his best friend Tayla.

Donations on another website were set up but unfortunately these did not end up with Jason, so this is why I’m doing a legitimate page, with Jason’s approval.

Sunmara has had many operations and is fighting for her life. Jason had to leave Sunmara in friends hands and come back to Ashburton to bury his eldest child.

Tayla had a beautiful send off and Jason had the opportunity to say goodbye, it’s heartbreaking.

Jason is now on his way back to Auckland to be with Sunmara. There is still a long journey ahead and Jason vows to bring Sunmara home. No matter how long it takes.

Erin Keefe's involvement (page creator)

Just a friend of Jason’s, who has watched what happened with the last fundraising and wants to make it right. 100% goes to Jason.

Use of funds

The proceeds of this page will go towards a beautiful headstone for Tayla, where family and friends can go and talk and also towards, flights accomodation and anything else Jason and family need.

Jason’s update: Sunmaras funeral tomorrrow   19 December 2019

Hi everyone. I’d like to say a few words so here we go - I am concerned for our community youth after our farewell to Sunmara on Friday. Because of my concern I’d like you all to respect my wishes, please no cell phones during the service or at the cemetery when we put our soldier to rest. The last thing I want is some of our youth feeling down later in the night and looking back at videos of the service. A complete ban on cell phone recording. I’d also like parents or caregivers to be aware of your teenagers needs and support them to and after the service on Friday during the grieving process. Monitor them, monitor there alcohol consumption and monitor were they are. Please watch and look out for your kids while they grieve. If there any concern for son, daughter, friend or stranger please use the following support that has been put in place, Cat Emergency- 0800 218 219. Community support, nation wide - 0800 222 955 . All medical surgery’s in Ashburton have a support ready if needed. G.P, HI737. I know you kids need to grief, trust me I know all about it. But please, can you all be home by Saturday morning, with your parents or caregivers. We are not going to be down and out, we are not going to cry or be sad! We are going to celebrate the memories and love we had for these girls. If I can be strong then everyone else can be to. Chin up. Ashburton going to rumble on Friday. Our soldier getting a true hero’s send off.
