A Humble Request for assistance with our newborn baby’s hospital bill, which totals $31,815.50.
Otago
Our baby was born on the 27/6/26 just three days after our work visa expired. My wife was medically advised not to travel in the third trimester due to some pregnancy complications. We have lived in New Zealand for past three years, have sold all our belongings in Fiji to settle here. From last year we have been trying our very best to have our visa extended and to manage our situation. however, it got declined by immigration due to falling just shy of required experienced criteria.
Because of this unfortunate timing, we were no longer eligible for the healthcare support that we would have received if our baby had been born before our visa expiry date. Had the birth occurred only a couple of days earlier, we would not have been faced with this overwhelming hospital bill.
Since our visas have expired, we are currently unable to work and earn an income to cover these unexpected medical expenses.
The burden of this hospital debt is beyond our current means. We are therefore humbly seeking help from family, friends, community members, and kind-hearted supporters who may be able to contribute towards this bill.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help us move closer to paying off the $31,815.50 hospital bill and provide much-needed relief during this challenging time.
We are deeply grateful for any support, kindness, and prayers offered to our family.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping us through this difficult chapter in our lives.
