I am Birman Tamang from Nepal. I'm a professional trekking guide in Nepal's Himalaya, one of the most beautiful natural environments in the world.
I have been guiding for 15 years, and during this period I have seen many changes in the Himalaya including glacier melt, which turns mountains into black rock, exploding glacial lakes and unpredictable weather conditions. All of these things, which are becoming worse day by day, are happening because of global warming caused by human behaviour. As a Certified Sustainable Tourism Guide, I encourage my clients, my team and the locals not to use any kinds of plastic bottles while trekking, and I discourage the use of any unnecessary helicopter flight.
I want to send a message to the world from the Summit of Everest.
Nature deserves to be preserved for everyone, including future generations.

Permit to climb Everest - submitted to Nepali government, and other costs associated with the climb including travel expenses, insurance, gear supplies and professional guides, known as sherpas.
