Help me raise funds for a carbon fiber guitar to continue sharing my music, teaching, and inspiring others as I turn 30 this November!

Auckland

Kia Ora e te Whaanau!

As I approach my 30th birthday on November 6, 2024, I reflect on my journey with music, which has been my lifeline and therapy.

Growing up in New Zealand, my trusty guitar helped me navigate life’s ups and downs, providing solace and connection.

However, after countless performances, it has finally carked it. The weather has taken its toll, and my beloved guitar is now facing its final surgery. The thought of parting with it is gut-wrenching, but it’s time to seek a new musical partner.

I envision a carbon fiber guitar, built to withstand the elements, allowing me to create music without constant worry.

This guitar represents not just a new beginning but also a continuation of a journey that has touched many lives. My songs have resonated with thousands across the globe, proving that music has the power to heal and connect.

With summer gigs on the horizon, I’m feeling anxious. How can I fulfill my commitments and share my music when I’m without the tools necessary to perform and teach?

Music is my trade and expression, and without it, I feel lost.

I’m reaching out to you, my friends and fellow music lovers, for help.

Your support will enable me to purchase a carbon fiber guitar, allowing me to reclaim my voice.

Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me closer to finding my voice again.

Thank you for believing in the power of music and me.

Use of funds

Purchasing a carbon fiber guitar, which will ensure durability and reliability for performances, teaching, and songwriting.

Any additional funds may be allocated for recording and essential accessories like a case to keep the guitar in top condition.

If I don’t reach the target I will continue to fundraise until I can afford a new guitar.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
