A Path Forward for Steph and Kane

In March 2023, Steph and Kane welcomed their daughter, Riley. She was a bubbly girl who faced immense challenges with incredible bravery. After enduring multiple surgeries and battling rare conditions affecting her heart and gut, Riley tragically passed away in September 2024 at just 18 months old.

The loss of a child is a pain no parent should endure. For Steph and Kane, the months that followed were a blur of grief and Kane suffered a heart attack just four months later.

Steph and Kane carry Riley in their hearts every day. In early 2025, they began trying for another baby. Not to replace Riley, but to give her a sibling and to find a sense of purpose and hope again. Sadly their journey has been met with more heartbreak, including an early pregnancy loss in early 2026.

After over a year of trying, they have been advised that IVF is their best path forward due to their age. However, because they do not meet the criteria for public funding the financial barrier is significant.

Funds are being raised to cover the costs of fertility appointments and hopefully IVF treatment. Donations will go towards the costs of IVF cycles, fertility specialist appointments. Any contribution, no matter how small, helps ease the financial burden on this resilient couple as they try to rebuild their lives and grow their family.
