A student documentary about Friedreich's Ataxia being made in the hopes of spreading awareness to save a friend from a terrible fate.

Hi there,
My dream as a film student is to make a documentary about Friedreich's Ataxia to spread awareness to try and find a cure. My best friend has this disease and i cant bare to lose him. It is a horrible disease that attacks the nervous system and is fatal.
I am graduating from a film school in New Zealand and will have to go to South Africa to film this doco. I will need to bring over two other crew members and rent gear too as I don't own the equipment needed to make a quality doco.
It will be about the challenges he faces, how he manages his symptoms, about the disease itself and how no matter the situation you can always be positive.
Use of funds
The money will be spent on taking crew to South Africa from New Zealand, rental of film equipment and to help the film get into film festivals. If extra is raised then the money will go towards research for a cure for Friedreich's Ataxia.
