A whanau's devastating start to 2023

I have created this page for my stepsister Rebecca, partner Myk (Michael) and 2 children Mikaere (Mickey) & Campbell who all live in the household, my heart aches as they have had a rough start to the year, with Mikaere (Mickey) falling ill and being diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma a type of cancer that affect the lymphatic system end of last year and now having their home and belongings taken away from them with the recent mudslide in Tauranga.

2023 was a year to focus on Mikaere (Mickey) and his treatment which he will be starting very soon, along with living an enjoyable life in the meantime. The whanau are very committed to speedway, always willing to help out anyone and everyone.

Mikaere (Mickey) and Campbell having their own mini stock cars, these cars are still in amongst the rubble of the house. Unfortunately, Mickey's new to racing and been enjoying his time in the car prior to diagnosis but unfortunately wasn’t insured at the time.

Other costs are also taking the toll of this loving whanau and knowing one of their children having to start treatment soon and having to take time off work supporting him, I would really like to financially lighten the load off their shoulders as they will already have enough to deal with.

I'm sure the whanau would appreciate any amount of donation. Majority of items are insured however Mickeys race car isn’t which we would love to get it going again IF it’s recoverable so he can enjoy more time in it and doing something he loves.
