Hi everyone, I just wanted to give you a quick update since it has been nearly two weeks since Adam bravely underwent the BIG shave for our charity.

On the day Adam was surrounded by a so much support it was humbling to see.

Well the past two weeks have been a mixture of cold, wet and sunny days which im sure Adam is slowly adjusting too.

Next week we are hoping to catch up with Adam face to face and see how much his hair has grown and how he is feeling since the big event.

Unfortunately this page will have closed by then so please make sure you check out our facebook page ~ The Acorn Project Hawke's Bay to see the update and photos too.

Thank you to everyone who shared the link and also donated ~ Adam has raised a staggering $4695 over the past 20 days !!!!!

Adam has had his big shave and his fiancé Sarah saw what he looked like without the dreads and beard for the first time.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended and supported Adam on the day, a big thank you to the fabulous barber from Kings Union Barber in Napier for doing such a great tidy up. As you can imagine cutting off the dreads was pure fun and no precision was involved at all so professional skills were definitely needed.

Thank you for all the donations also, I had hoped Adam would raise $2000, he quickly cracked the $3000 mark and now we are approaching the $5000 goal line, which means the funds raised will go a lot further than we had hoped which is truly remarkable and we are so grateful.

Check out the after photo below and Congratulations to Adam and Sarah on their recent engagement too

  • Four more nights to go....

      6 September 2022

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated already, please share the page so others can find out about the work The Acorn Project do and new people maybe able to help by making a donation.

We look forward to seeing you at the big shave this Saturday 3.30pm at the Puketapu Pub ~ please arrive early to get a seat, you could even grab some late lunch at the same time.

Until then share away and lets get Adam past the $3k mark and support his dedication to supporting young people age 12-24years and their family living with cancer in Hawkes Bay.

Navigating the teenage years and living with cancer at the same time is far from easy but together we can make a difference.
