Firstly, Honour would like to say a BIG thank you for everyone's very kind contributions. She is blown away and really touched by your generosity.

Honour now has two more Chemo sessions to go, that will make a total of 20 Chemo therapy infusions!! She is truly amazing! There have been some setbacks recently. As a result of having her body treated so hard for BRCA1, this has left her being neutrophenic and Anemic requiring her to have ongoing blood transfusions. Honour has continued with cold capping, which has saved some of her hair, but does give her severe brain pain! She misses her eyelashes and eyebrows terribly. She has been diagnosed with Lymph-edema , due to having her lymph nodes removed. Even with all of these setbacks Honour has tried to remain positive, but obviously has hard days. She can't wait for the next two Chemo sessions to be over!

Despite trialing the cap Honour's hair started to fall out. She has opted to shave it off. Personally I think she looks stunning she has such a beautiful face, it's tough to loose all that makes you feminine. So many woman affected by this terrible cancer.

Genetic testing has confirmed that Honour has the BRACA 1 gene. This requires Honour to loose her other breast and ovaries. After a break from Chemo she will have to go to Wellington for Radiation. My grandson Joshua will go with her. He is struggling to understand what is happening to Mum.

Honour had her first round of Chemo this week, a confronting day wondering how the chemo will affect her. She is attempting to save her hair by wearing this cap that freezes the hair follicles. This in itself is extremely painful. For us, her family and friends who love her we can only walk beside her and pray. Please continue to share this page Thank you all for your support.
