Adventures with Harvey's e-bikes ...

To all fans of Adventures with Harvey.

No doubt you’re as gutted as I was to hear how Harvey’s shiny new e-bikes got snatched by a couple of low-lifes.

As you might have spotted in the comments, the bikes couldn’t be insured, and so Dave & Anita have been in a quandary about replacing them - they massively enhance their flexibility for getting around places where Harvey just won’t go, but with such a long tour ahead of them, they need to be very mindful about the impact of such a chunky unplanned claim on their budget.

Fortunately a friend has generously offered, if they get replacements, to buy the bikes off them at the end of the trip, which covers a large part of the replacement cost. However there's still quite a shortfall ...

So I thought I’d pass the hat around in case anyone wants to contribute towards the remaining cost of buying the replacements - it will give us a vested interest in all the blog posts we'll enjoy from their more nimble and versatile transport modes (no offence Harvey …).

Obviously no pressure at all - just want to give the opportunity for anyone who wants to pitch in.

The balance of the replacement cost is circa NZ$3,250, plus $500 for some Fort Knox style locks and alarms, so that’s the target.
