Earthquakes have flattened entire villages in Herat city!
We are making an urgent call for funds to help those affected by this disaster, with almost 3,000 deaths confimed to date and many thousands displaced seeking shelter in public parks and streets.
Thousands of Afghans desperately need urgent shelter, safe drinking water, and hygiene essentials with winter approaching poses an additional challenge to their survival.
The Afghan Association of New Zealand is collecting money to provide critical humanitarian assistance to our people back home. We will be distributing these funds through the Qamar Foundation, a German (11459) registered non-profitable charity organization with physical branches in Afghanistan.

The Afghan Association of New Zealand is the largest multi ethnic Afghan community charitable society in New Zealand dedicated to uniting Afghans within New Zealand, Empowering Women and Promoting our culture to NZ as a whole.
Use of funds
This money will be used to provide the displaced families within Afghanistan with food, Clean water and shelter.
