    I’m deeply grateful to share that we’ve returned from our trip to see my mom. It was everything I had hoped for and more. The boys had such a wonderful time with Grandma and my family — laughing, playing, and creating memories that we will hold close to our hearts forever.

    我由衷地感激地想和大家分享，我们已经完成了这次回家探望妈妈的旅程。这次团聚比我想象的还要美好。孩子们和外婆、家人们在一起，欢笑、嬉闹，留下了许多珍贵的回忆。

    Spending the Mid-Autumn Festival together was especially meaningful. Seeing my mom surrounded by her grandchildren, smiling and stable, filled me with such peace and gratitude. It was a reminder of how precious time together truly is.

    能在中秋节相聚，对我来说意义非凡。看到妈妈被家人围绕，笑容满面、身体目前稳定，我的心充满了平静与感恩。这一刻让我再次体会到，陪伴与团聚是多么珍贵的礼物。

    None of this would have been possible without your kindness, generosity, and support. You helped make a dream come true — one that has brought comfort, healing, and love to our family.

  • Thank You for Bringing Us Home

    Hi dear friends,

    I'm so happy to share that I’ve booked our round-trip tickets for the end of this September! We’ll be spending the Mid-Autumn Festival with my mom—her first time celebrating with the boys. It means the world to me that she will finally meet my youngest son and that we’ll all be together for this special occasion.

    Thank you so much for helping make this trip possible. Your kindness and support have truly changed our lives.

    With a small amount of the remaining funds, I’ve started sending handwritten cards to ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer patients (same cancer Mark had) and their caregivers through an international mail brigade. It’s a small but heartfelt way to offer encouragement and hope to others facing similar battles. I've attached a photo of some of the cards I’ve written so far.

    This has become a deeply meaningful part of my healing journey, and I plan to continue doing it for as long as I can.

    想和大家分享一个好消息——我已经订好了九月低回中国的机票！今年中秋节，我们终于可以和妈妈团聚。这也是两个孩子第一次和外婆一起过节，对我们来说意义非凡。

    非常感谢大家的支持与帮助，让这趟迟到了多年的探亲之旅终于成真。你们的每一份善意，我都深深铭记在心。

    这次筹款还有一点余款，我用它来参加一个国际性的“暖心明信片行动”，为ALK阳性非小细胞肺癌的病友（孩子的爸爸得的是同一种癌症）和家属们手写明信片，送上关怀与鼓励。这件事对我来说非常有意义，也让我觉得能继续传递爱与希望。我也附上一张我已经寄出的一些明信片照片，希望能把这份温暖继续传下去。

    再次感谢每一位支持过我们的朋友。愿你们平安喜乐，我们也会继续努力前行。

    我深受感动，衷心感谢大家给予我的巨大支持。当我发起这次筹款活动，希望筹集7000纽币购买三张往返机票回国看望妈妈时，我从未想过不仅能达到目标，还能超额完成。多亏了你们的慷慨和温暖的鼓励，筹款总额已经达到了9105纽币。

    你们的留言和支持让我多次热泪盈眶。每一份捐款都让我更接近回家陪妈妈的心愿，你们的关怀让我倍感温暖。正是你们的善意让我能够踏上这段旅程，这份感激我将一直铭记。

    由于筹款金额超过了原定目标，如果有人希望退款（部分或全部），请私信我，我完全理解。剩余资金将被妥善使用，用于相关的本地交通、保险以及其他意外开支。

    我们计划在九月中旬出发，届时孩子们的学期和橄榄球赛季都结束了——他们今年加入了爸爸以前的俱乐部，这对我们来说意义非凡。

    我们将从基督城飞往广州，住一晚，然后乘火车回我的家乡。资金下个月到账后，我会订票并及时向大家更新情况。

  • A Heartfelt Thank You: Surpassing Our Fundraiser Goal Together

    Dear friends,

    I’m deeply moved and beyond grateful for the incredible support you’ve shown me. When I launched this fundraiser to raise $7,000 for three round-trip tickets to visit my mum in China, I never imagined I would not only reach my goal—but exceed it. Thanks to your generosity and kind words, the total has now reached $9,105.

    Your messages and support brought me to tears more than once. Every donation means more time with my mum, and every message reminded me that I’m not alone. Your kindness made this journey possible, and I will carry it with me all the way home.

    Since the funds have gone beyond the original goal, if anyone would prefer a refund (in part or full), just message me privately—I completely understand. Any remaining funds will be used responsibly for related costs like local travel, insurance, and unexpected expenses.

    We’re planning to fly in mid-September, after my boys finish their third school term and rugby season—they joined their dad’s old club this year, which has been very special.

    We’ll fly from Christchurch to Guangzhou, stay one night, then take a train to my hometown. Once the funds are released next month, I’ll book our tickets and keep everyone updated.
