Fundraiser
Nelson
On December 2nd Aidan Robinson, 17, is riding the height of Mt Everest (8849 metres) to raise funds for Bike Hub Nelson.
Aidan’s going to do it by powering up and down Fringed Hill 13 times. He reckons it’ll take around 24 hours with refuelling stops at the bottom. No sleeping allowed.
He’ll be riding his Santa Cruz Megatower that’ll be fully race kitted out.
Aidan says he wants to do it as a fundraiser for Bike Hub Nelson because he loves the way we're “spreading love in the community, stopping bikes going into landfill, and changing people’s lives”.
He says the hardest thing will be the heat and possibly cramps. To help him on his mission, some friends are going to be joining him for a lap or two. Aidan hopes his Everest Challenge inspires people to support Bike Hub Nelson.
“Make a donation so they can keep helping people,” he said.
Bike Hub Nelson is a registered charity (CC61785) that fixes up donated bikes and makes them available to the community.

Kia ora Everyone and Happy New Year!
Just wanted you to know that Aidan's awesome effort ended up raising $2,620 for Bike Hub Nelson. The fundraiser received 61 much appreciated donations and the money will go towards helping us provide our much needed service to the people of Nelson and Tasman.
Thanks again to Aidan for the superhuman effort; it's not every weekend you ride up and down Fringed Hill 13.5 times in the rain!
