Help our 3-year-old Aiden fight his returning brain tumour, and give him every chance we can find.
Whangarei, Northland
Aiden is our cheeky, tractor-loving, motorbike-riding 3-year-old. At 15 months old, he was diagnosed with a brain tumour called ependymoma. He had major surgery and six weeks of radiation, and for two years he thrived on our Northland farm.
This month, his routine scan showed the tumour has come back. Surgery is too risky this time, so Aiden will have a second course of radiation, starting 17 November, followed by months of chemotherapy. His battle will most likely be fought here in New Zealand, with a lot of time in Auckland, away from the farm and his two little brothers, of which one is a newborn.
This round of radiation is Aiden's best shot. If it doesn't work, we'll be looking overseas for any hope we can find, and we want to be ready.
We're putting in everything we have.
Your donation will help with:
- Travel and accommodation during his treatment
- Costs at home while we're away caring for him
- Overseas treatment or trials, if we need them
Thank you for reading, sharing and supporting our boy. We'll keep you updated here.
