Medical Assistance Dog for Ailsa

  • Connie's arrival!

      28 May 2014

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Connie arrived three weeks ago and what a time it's been. I've been learning HEAPS about working with a service animal but she's already made such a difference in my life. Even though Connie has now arrived, I am still continuing my fundraising as any money raised will help the next litter of puppies be trained to support other New Zealanders with disabilities :)

  • Update for 21/11/2013

      21 November 2013

Today as I was walking down my path, I stumbled, not seeing the step and twisted on my ankle. It's accidents like these that my medical assistance dog is going to help prevent. With them by my side, showing me where the steps are, I will have more support and will be less likely to fall, and subsequently injure myself. I am so grateful for everybody that has helped so far in getting me this dog. I just know that my life will never be the same once my dog and I meet :)

I am incredibly humbled that another CRPS angel here in New Zealand has set up an event through which she hopes to raise money for my dog. I am blown away by people's kindness. Thank you so much Alicia and Lydia for your support - it means the world to me. And thank you to everyone who has supported either myself or Alicia's page so far!!
