Akhilesh was admitted to Auckland City Hospital on 25th May and he is in a critical condition, fully dependent on machines and ICU Support.
Auckland
Akhilesh Prakash Kadam came to New Zealand in 2017 as a student to fulfill his dream and study in Auckland. He always wanted to prove to his parents he could make it here.
He is a very kind person, always willing to help others and a really smart guy.
He studied Mechanical Engineering, Level 8 at AUT University and Graduated in 2018 and he was searching for a job in the field he studied.
Unfortunately on Thursday everything changed :(
Akhilesh was admitted to the cardio-thoracic and vascular intensive care unit at Auckland City Hospital on 25th May 2019.
Akhilesh developed a major respiratory problem which required an emergency intervention and mechanical life support and intensive care treatment.
He has multiple organ failure where his lungs, kidneys and heart are all being supported through machines. They have said he is in a really bad way right now and that any change is going to take a long time given how unwell he is.
At this stage it is difficult to predict Akhilesh duration of stay within the intensive care unit.
will update the listing daily...
Akhilesh is a staff member of my Auckland Lounges team who is currently unconscious and in critical condition in Auckland Hospital.
The funds will be given to his parents to assist with their airfares from India to New Zealand, accomodation while they are here and any forthcoming bills to support his recovery
