Help support Sam and Conner in this difficult time.
Southland
Sam and Conner were urgently flown to Auckland Hospital, where baby Albie was delivered by emergency C-section at just 30 weeks due to a placenta rupture.
Born on August 27th, weighing 3lb 7oz Albie has already been through so much — he had his first surgery at just two days old, and a second one a month later due to ongoing feeding issues
Now, Sam and Conner are facing the unknown. It's not clear how long they'll need to remain in Auckland, or whether Albie will need further surgeries.
This page has been set up to help ease the financial pressure so Sam and Conner can focus on being with Albie. Above all, this is our chance to show just how much we appreciate and love Conner and Sam - this is our opportunity to give back to the two people who give so much to us and the people around them. Any support is deeply appreciated.
I am a friend.
Sam and Conner will use the funds to help ease any financial pressure (bills, transport, and living costs)
Lots of love to Sam and Conner 18 October 2025

With the heaviest of hearts, we announce that our darling boy has lost his fight, and is now resting in the hands of his Pop in heaven.
Albie David arrived early to bless his mummy and daddy with 7 magical weeks of love. He went out how he lived, wrapped in the arms of his doting parents.
A service to celebrate Albies life will be held on Friday the 24th of October at Greenpoint cemetery, all welcome.
Conner and I cannot put into words the support we have felt for us and for Albie as he fought his fight and as we navigate life without him, thank you to everyone who has reached out, prayed for Albie, and gathered around us. In Albies short but mighty life he only ever knew love.
We cannot thank the team at Auckland City NICU/Starship enough, for their care and love of our darling boy. You all fought for Albie as if he was your own.
There is a hole in our hearts that will never be filled Albie, until we meet again my squish, thank you for choosing us to be your mummy and daddy
