      6 March 2014

Been a while since I have done an update. Alicia had another round of Chemo on the 26th of Feb, the doctors told Trent and Vicky if she is not going to get high Temps she is allowed to come home for a few days. On sunday the 2nd of march Alicia was allowed to come home, yayyyeee. It was very hard for her to travel from Auckland to Tauranga, being so skinny and fragile. But she made it, cause she didn't want to miss out on seeing her Brothers and Sisters. Since being home she has been vomiting a lot, so yesterday 5/3/14 Vicky and Trent went to Tga hospital. She has been taking of her Feeds for now, and she will just get fluids for a bit. Still a big journey ahead, but she is a BIG Fighter and she will kick this nasty illness. On the 28th march the Greerton Rsa will put on a quiz night, all donations will go to Alicia and fam. Teams of 6 $10pp, if intrested ring me 021 2095128. Thank you all for your continues support. Nina

Well all is calm now, but she screamed the place down on the way to theatre.Get me outta her, get me outta here!!! She had to have meds to calm her. They are now chartered before theatre. This morning was the last day of chemo for this round. And the dentist pulled out the left over bone fragments and washed her mouth. She's now comfortable with continuous morphine. Thank you all for your support. Nina

If you can help or know someone who can help, please let me know. We are in need of furniture beds linen etc. The Fam Steenson had to leave everything behind in their rental. They found out a few weeks ago that their house was contaminated with the Class A drug methamphetamine. They lost their house but also most of their belongings. Starting fresh in a new house soon, we have to find something to put in it. Furnishing has to be clean due to Alicia's immune system. Please Contact me if you can help. Nina 021-2095128 or 07-5700332 Thank you all for your Support.

      29 January 2014

An Update on Alicia from her mum Vicky. Well where to start, ummm.... Lili has had her hickman line removed on Sunday as they identified the bug to be E Coli in the line, so she went under for that. She had a luer added to her arm and has been receiving her medication through there. She has started feeds through her nasalgastric tube due to being unable to eat, so we will have to learn how to administer that as well as meds. She has had a echocariogram today of her heart, all clear thank god! She has had an ultrasound of her abdomine no results back yet on that. She had another luer put in and her beautiful blue eyes stared into mine a single tear ran down her precious face. She is sooo brave. Bloods were taken at the same time to see why she still has a temp. She is on a morphine pump which was just increased. And her hair is starting to fall out, now it feels like our little girl has cancer. But we are going to beat this damned monster with all our might. Our little Liliboo, Alicia-Kade Victoria xx is a bloody true blue kiwi legend.
