What a roller coaster journey so far! Alisha remains in hospital and has completed 2 Chemotherapy sessions. She has developed an infection in her foot which has turned into Cellulitis. Normally this would be an easy fix but because her immunity levels are very low her system has been struggling to fight it. Because of your generosity she was able to take the unfunded medication which has really helped and possibly saved her life. As a result of her foot being infected, it was incredibly painful and swollen and Alisha passed out and hit her head on either the bathroom door or hand basin or both. This resulted in a perfect full circle black eye. (See attached picture)Thankfully her husband Gary was there and called for help. Alisha is doing much better now and waiting to hear from the Bone marrow Transplant Team in Christchurch. We as a family cannot thankyou you all enough for your out pouring of support, kind words and generous donations. It's so nice to know that there are still good people out there willing to help. Please continue to share this page around your social networks. From the bottom of my heart ... Thankyou all so much.
