A Little Bit Of Britain VS Sanitarium over Weetabix Saga
Canterbury
Sanitarium have gotten customs to detain a pallet of Weetabix at the border which the small British food store A Little Bit Of Britain in Christchurch have paid for and now can't sell due to Sanitarium thinking there is a trademark infringement. They want the store to come to an agreement over the so called trade mark infringement and cover up the word Weetabix but the store do not feel this is acceptable because we all know they are two different products! We want to see the big company back down and leave the small companies alone! We want our Weetabix!! Show A Little Bit Of Britain your support.
I am a customer who just wants to get the Weetabix back on the shelves like many other British expats.
The funds will go to A Little Bit Of Britain to help fight the cause against Sanitarium, free the Weetabix hopefully and to help pay if it goes to the high court. Lisa Wilson is the co-owner of the business and the funding will be used for any costs for legal action, getting the weetabix back on the shelves or the sales/money they have lost with the whole scenario.
