Help Carry Georgie’s Legacy Forward - Every Donation Counts to Improved Safety

$4,150 donated
Given by 26 generous donors in around 7 months

Support our New Zealand Eventing community to reduce risk for horses and riders and prevent injury and tragedies such as Georgie’s

International

Georgie, the wife of New Zealand Olympian Jesse Campbell, had a generosity, love for her horses and a life that touched many people. Since Georgie’s accident on 26th May 2024, extraordinary people across the world have worked together to advance Eventing safety. Their aim: reduce risk, prevent injuries, and tragedies like the one that claimed Georgie’s life.

All Together SAFER NZ Eventing’s collaboration with ESNZ and Eventing NZ is to raise funds for NZ to purchase the latest frangible MiM safety devices & replace fixed jumps. MiM devices lower solid jumps on impact, preventing injury & rotational falls.

$2,500 builds one safety jump.

This year’s focus is to rebuild Taupo National Equestrian Centre cross-country jumps to the highest global safety standards for all athletes, from Olympic prospects to Grassroots. This design and build is a collaboration between NZ course designers & builders & Stuart Buntine (Chair FEI Safety Group).

Like Formula 1 racing a decade ago, eventing safety is at an innovative turning point today. It is our responsibility, with New Zealand’s international reputation for excellence in this sport, to be at the forefront of this global safety transformation.

We all want our loved ones to be safe, and we all have a part to play in ensuring safety is monitored and upgraded.

Safer sport is only possible because people like you are prepared to help New Zealand raise the funds required to achieve greater welfare & safety for all Event riders & horses.
