Alms for Pickles

I was forced to quit my full time job earlier in the month due to ill health. Unfortunately, my buddy, Pickles the cat, has also had a run of poor health and is needing costly vet treatments. Being that I am now unemployed, these costs are beyond me so I'm reaching out to the community for help. Pickles has been my companion for six years, and I don't know what I would do without him. I have insurance but it doesn't cover everything and they have been very difficult in the past when it comes to making a claim. Any help is greatly appreciated. This could not have come at a worse time, when I'm suddenly unemployed, so although I'm embarrassed to ask, I know I have to think of Pickles first.
