Over the past 24 years, English Planet has been meticulously developed as a structured literacy approach to teaching English as a second language. Initially crafted abroad, it was adapted for New Zealand’s ESOL classrooms upon returning to NZ. Piloted in 2020, it has now expanded from two primary schools in Tauranga in 2023 to nearly 20 schools nationwide in 2024, benefiting ESOL learners and students with learning disabilities. It is also being assessed for its value in Māori bilingual schools.

This page seeks your support to elevate English Planet further. Recognizing that mainstream teachers often struggle to meet the needs of marginalized learners, we are developing an online resource to support these students in mainstream classrooms. Donations to this campaign will directly fund the development of this crucial online learning platform. Your contribution can make a profound difference in the education of these vulnerable learners.
