Caitlin asks

Hi Angela, my name is Caitlin. I’m conducting a study at the University of Auckland on the use of crowdfunding platforms to fund health-related costs in New Zealand. I’m speaking with people with experience of setting up and managing a Givealittle page on behalf of a loved one. I understand this will be a time of immense pressure for all involved, but I’m also aware this may be a topic close to your heart, and I believe your contribution to the project would be really valuable. If you are open to participating or would like more information, please email me confidentially at cneu868@aucklanduni.ac.nz. Participation would involve a conversational interview at a time/place convenient to you. To thank participants for their time, each will receive a $30 voucher. Thanks and best wishes. Approved by the University of Auckland Human Participants Ethics Committee on 11th June 2019 for three years, Reference Number 023136.

You should contact the nz herald and try and get them to do an article about trying to access the unfundrd drug and Anarus story with the link to his give little page I’m sure it will increase the traffic to his page and increase donations!

Angela

I keep tossing this idea around. A partner of a fellow "bum buddy" has passed on our details and Anaru has also worked with Bowel Cancer NZ spokesperson, Mary Bradley, and been on the 'Never Too Young' campaign and most recently NewsHub for the differences in post-operative care and death rates. I don't know... is it too soon after the shootings? Things are still very tense and eerie in Christchurch and emotions are running high. I feel like any spare money should go towards the victims and their families..
