Help Angele with life-extending surgery so she can spend more precious years with her kids and husband
Oamaru, Otago
Angele is a forty-year-old retired vet nurse, wife, and mother to three. She is a shining star in the Oamaru Steampunk Community and the Christchurch EGL Fashion Community. She warmly welcomes anyone and praises self-expression. She is immensely loving and a treat to get to know.
Angele was born with a rare congenital heart defect caused by Noonan Syndrome, meaning her heart was oversized and her values leaked. This caused Angele to suffer from rapid weight gain and weight loss, shortness of breath, waning muscle strength, and fatigue as her heart was unable to correctly pump blood around her body.
Due to multiple organ failure, Angele was put on the heart transplant list and was blessed with a new heart. Though there were some complications, with her new heart Angele was able to walk three kilometres up one tree hill which previously would be an unthinkable challenge.
Sadly, Angele is confronting multiple organ failure for a second time. During a routine biopsy, a valve in her new heart was severed. She now needs a pacemaker, dialysis, and life-extending surgery to repair the severed valve. Without the surgery, her life expectancy is estimated to be between six to eight months. With the surgery, she will get to spend more precious years with her kids and husband.
These procedures come with a huge financial burden. With this fundraiser, weβre reaching out to kindly ask if you could help Angele live a little longer. Letβs band together and help Angele and her family!
