Arizona visited the local vet on Tuesday. She received x-rays on her front hooves and the vet was happy to check and file her teeth while she was there. Arizona was lightly sedated for both procedures and was a gem (until she had had enough of her dental work). The vet was able to get clear x-rays of both legs and we got the news we had hoped for, Arizona does not have any rotation in either of her front legs and with a good nutritional diet and ongoing hoof care she will make a full recovery in 6 - 8 months. We are so happy with this news and are so glad that with the help of your generous donations, Arizona was able to receive the treatment she needed now before the damage in her legs got to a point where it was irreversable. So Arizona will spend the next few months in the care of the Southland SPCA with the help of some fantastic foster teams until she is back to her old self and will then be available for adoption. Thank you again for your very kind donations and support in this cause - it does show when working as a team, anything can happen!!
