We have partnered with Taradale High School to support them through their recovery after the devastation of Cyclone Gabrielle.

Taradale, Napier

Whangaparāoa College has partnered with Taradale High School to support them and their community through their recovery and, after speaking with their Principal, it is clear they are in need, both short and long term. Taradale High School is a co-educational school with approximately 1,000 students whose school community is drawn from a large rural zone including the badly affected areas of Waiohiki, Moteo and Puketapu. The pictures from these areas are deeply sobering.

On Wednesday, 1 March, we will be hosting a whole school non-uniform day. This will be themed in Taradale High School colours, blue and gold. We have a target of raising $10,000 (approximately $5 per person in our school), although we would be absolutely delighted if we could surpass that initial goal!
