Astra's battle post dog attack

I cannot thank you enough. I am truly humbled and forever grateful for all of your generosity and kind thoughts and words.

Astra is getting brighter everyday. She is fully grooming herself, eating on her own and she's till a happy and sweet girl.

She had another surgery yesterday to remove some of the dead skin tissue.

The Vet still calls the prognosis 'grave' due to all the damaged tissue inside.

But! She is home with me and seemingly happy enough for now. I give her medicine twice a day and flush her wounds with a saline wash to help keep her super clean.

She is still battling infection and everyone is so surprised at how well she seems considering all she has going on.

She may also need her tail amputated in the future - but we aren't so worried about this for now.

Thank you, again. I am so, so grateful. I am still optimistic that she will make it through each battle ahead of her. :)
