Hey Guys,
Just thought we would give eveyone a wee update on how Kaila is doing. Her heart is Sorted and her stat levels remain great! We did run into a wee issues with her vocal cords/voice box. The nerve that controls the left vocal cord runs right behind the Aorta, so they are thinking it may have been bumped during Surgery. Bonus is that it is not completly Severed! But it has effected her ability to take the bottle. So while we are learning new ways to bottle feed her its a slow road, Her vocal cord could repair itself within weeks, months or even years but will be closly monitered which means visits to Dunedins ENT team and possibly even Christchurch at some stage. We have been here coming up 8 weeks now which has been extremly challenging during lockdown. On top of being away from Our boys Slade and Bentley, the comforts of home and the support of our family, Our mate Oscar was put down which has just been heart breaking for everyone.
Thanks to everyone for the continuing support and those special people who have gone above and beyond to help. We are so thankful and overwhelemed by the Kindness and Generosity of Everybody, Words or actions will never be able to explain how much our family appericate everything.
