Babies don't stop for Cyclones

My office, like so many others, was devastated by Cyclone Gabrielle and I've lost everything that has taken many years to build up. Unfortunately there was no insurance to cover the costs for replacing everything.

Bellies to Babies has been in Hawke's Bay for almost 18 years providing antenatal and postnatal education, which is a crucial component of pregnancy care and support.

Our antenatal classes help parents prepare themselves mentally, emotionally and physically for their journey into parenthood along with helping them make new connections with other parents due around the same time.

This is our Mahi, this is what we do. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience and providing support for new parents including those who have postnatal depression or a traumatic birth.

Along with antenatal classes, we also provide postnatal support such as coffee groups, mum and bubs art mornings, baby massage courses and baby & infant 1st aid courses.

I have thankfully secured a temporary venue (until mine can be rebuilt - 4-6 months) to hold all these classes but have little to nothing to facilitate these classes with.

Babies don't wait, with your support I can continue delivering this vital service throughout the Hawke's Bay community and give families a safe space to reconnect with other new parents.
