Baby Abel fighting for his life

With Joe's permission, I have set up this givealittle so that Joe can remain off work to there for his family during this difficult time, without the added financial stress.

Baby Abel was born premature at 26 weeks, but he is a little fighter!

It has only been 3 weeks since he was born, and he has already had to have life saving surgery after getting a serious case of necrotising enterocolitis. He has had his large intestine removed and will need to undergo further surgery when he is older.

Doctors think he may have brain and kidney damage due to his infection. He also has pneumonia in one lung now.

He was seizuring, but is now on medication to help prevent this.

He requires a ventilator to breathe, and his artery in his leg had major complications when removing his arterial line. He lost a lot of blood and required another blood transfusion. His foot turned purple and continues to go between healthy and purple.

To top it off, baby Abels stoma and other opening are not healing properly and he may require further surgery.

Please help this beautiful family if you can, and please continue to pray for baby Abel.
