Thank you once again for everyone's support and donations over the past 6 weeks. Your generosity has made it possible for my partner and me to stay with our baby in Wellington, and we genuinely cannot thank you all enough.
Update on Rylan:
We are thrilled to share that Rylan is doing well. He is now 32 weeks and 4 days gestation and will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. He remains on breathing support (optiflow) and receives his feeds through a nasal gastric tube via an automatic syringe pump. He is being fed my milk with added HMF and beneprotein to ensure he gets all the nutrients he needs to grow big and strong, as well as some other vitamins and minerals.
Yesterday was a significant milestone for Rylan as he had his first flight out of the womb. We were transferred from Wellington Hospital's NICU to a SCBU closer to home in the South Island, thanks to the Life Flight team. This is one step closer to home after two months in Wellington Hospital.
We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to all the neonatal staff, midwives, the Wellington Ronald McDonald House, the Life Flight team, and everyone who has made this journey easier and ensured our little man is safe. We cannot thank you all enough for your care and support throughout this time.
Thank you all for your continued support and love.
Kind regards,
Amber, Cam and baby Rylan 🤍
