Help a mother come from Argentina to help find her missing son

Alexandra, Otago

Argentinian backpacker Hector Gaston Artigau, aged 21 has been missing at Mt Aspiring National park since Thursday 6th of February 2025. He had been hiking with some friends when he fell from a rock into a river. Search and rescue have been out since Thursday but have been unable to find him as of yet. Myself, friends, co-workers are trying to organise financial aid to help his mother Adriana Calomarde come to New Zealand to be closer to the search for her son. The money will be used to go towards flights, visa, translator, and other associated costs. Hector worked the cherry season at my fathers orchard, leaning rock cherries here in Alexandra, he was a valued team member, we would like to do whatever we can to help his mum.
