Battle for Life Charity Boxing is to raise funds for Anahera O Te Rangi Trust and to celebrate the life of Patrick O’Brien
Hawke's Bay
Battle for Life’s 10th anniversary is dedicated to “Celebrating a Champ - Inspiring Change.” Remembering event founder Patrick O’Brien and the kaupapa that he championed his entire life before it was tragically shortened, inspiring positive social change in our community.
This 10th anniversary of Battle for Life an ambitious fundraising goal of $50,000 has been set. As always this money will be dispersed through Anahera o Te Rangi Charitable Trust to programmes and initiatives that help save lives, build resilience and give people hope here in Hawke’s Bay.
Your donation here will be added to the other fundraisers and contribute to our overall goal of $50,000. Each of our fighters are running their own individual fundraisers and we are having additional fundraisers in the lead up to BFL 2020 so follow our Facebook page to keep up to date.
“We acknowledge life can be a battle
Each day we are faced by challenges. We go through hardship, we experience struggle. We acknowledge and accept these things because after every dark night comes the light of day.” Patrick O’Brien.
Together we can exceed this goal. Please give generously.
Anahera o Te Rangi Charitable Trust works within the Hawkes Bay community to address social issues that prevent families and individuals from leading a healthy and active lifestyle.

Battle for Life - Inspiring Change has been postponed 24 March 2020
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have postponed the 10th anniversary of Battle for Life. We are grateful to the Givealittle team for continuing to hold our fundraising open so we can keep working towards our goal of $50,000 and inspiring change in our community.
