Kyle returned to Auckland Hospital and had surgery for closure of right meningoencephalocoele
and translabyrinthine resection. He is doing well and continues with his rehab plan as set out by his medical team.
Kyle has been home recovering since the beginning of April and is slowly improving each day.
He has had a checkup with the doctors and surgeons who are happy with how he is progressing and will have another evaluation at the end of the month to address the extra swelling of csf fluid surrounding his wound site.

After 2 and a half weeks of being on two different types of intravenous antibiotics Kyle is now doing a lot better and has come off the IVs.
He has had his own personal physiotherapist work with him each day which has improved his balance greatly and he can now walk again.
He remains in hospital but doctors are speaking of letting him return home soon which is great news!
My family is really happy to hear that Kyle's condition is improving. We wish him a speedy recovery! xx
