Our club is fundraising to complete a critical safety upgrade to our current club safety boat so we can continue to keep our community safe!
Otago
Help us reach our current funding goal of $9350 for the upgrade. The club has already raised $2000, with additional funding generously made through the Otago Peninsula Community Board, Bendigo Valley Foundation, Lion Foundation and NZ Community Trust.
Our Stabicraft vessel was first purchased new with fundraising back in 1989 and fitted with a secondhand motor.
We now desperately need a replacement motor, and a general refit to keep it safe and workable for the years to come. We also hope to include some trailer and storage container maintenance as part of the project.
The continued use of our safety boat will benefit our community; in supervising the safe training of our children in partnership with our local school, by keeping our competitive and social events on the water safe, and the rescue of any local harbour users.
Thank you for your support.
