It is with a heavy heart to announce that Jun passed away today 1PM NZ time, due to complications of pancreatitis. He was 47. A loving husband and father.

After nearly 2 months of battling the complications of Severe Acute Pancreatitis in the ICU, Jun took his last breath with his wife and children beside him. The past week, Jun has been fairly stable until Wednesday night he starts to deteriorate. Jun was so critical they had to place him in a ventilator this morning. Sadly, it was only for a couple of hours. Dovie’s heartbroken and her children were so devastated, little did they know that this will be their final moment with their father.

Dovie wishes to thank everyone for the unconditional love and prayers. It’s just overwhelming.

    whakawhetai koe

    Maraming Salamat po.

    Thank you so much.

    God Bless!

  • Still hanging on.

Just a quick update on Jun's condition from his wife Dovie.

Some of the distressful events the past week:

23/08 (Thusrday). Jun had to undergo some draining procedures due to accumulation of massive fluid in his abdomen and bleeding in his pancreas (seen in the CT Scan). Fortunately, the bleeding stopped and his adomen has decreased in size after the procedure.

26/08 (Sunday). Dovie and her children started to panic because apparenlty Jun's heart has stopped beating for few seconds on three separate ocassions within 24 hours. More treatment and test were done and thankfully Jun became stable.

As of today, Jun is still semi conscious in the ICU, he responds to touch and verbal commands. He's still on oxygen which is directly inserted in his windpipe to help him in his breathing.

Tears can be seen flowing down his eyes and can be agitated at times especially when Dovie leaves his bedside in going to work.

Dovie would like to express her sincere gratitude to everyone who continues to pray for them, reaching out and giving donations. She's just overwhlemed.

Special thanks to Ms. Kendall Hutt of Stuff.co.nz for sharing Dovie's story to NZ and to the world. Words of ecouragement and support from the readers gives her hope and lifts her up, gives her strength to get through day by day. It also amazingly increased the donations in this page.

May we continue to be a blessing to the family.

    Thank you and God Bless!

More updates and photos to come.
