I'm Alfie a 6month old Briard Puppy that eats things I shouldn't and I'm causing many trips to the vet, operations and hospitalization.
Waikato
So Alfie's me name. 6 month old Briard Bear Dog. Me human Mam got me for her birthday after her old boy dog passed... she was not prepared for my furball eating habits. I remind her of the hungry caterpillar that ate everything. My story goes like this.
FIRST: I ate a pair of undies. A brand new pair... smelt like shop and that was all... nothing fancy. They got stuck in me gut. Off to the Dog Dr I went. Put things in places that were not normal.
SECOND: I ate a big piece off a towel. Didn't tell me Mam but I was feeling off so off to the Dog Dr again. Once more things in put in not fun places.
THIRD: I was overpowered by a bandana off the clothesline. This time Mam saw me with it and threatened me with me crate so as she came to get me I hoofed down the bandana. She looked everywhere for it not believing I can eat thing in 0.001 of a second. This time she gave me a laxative.
FOURTH: I was in lots of trouble this time. That cute little deer ear ring was looking at me! What was I to do but eat it. Not good though as it got stuck in me intestine.... sick for days and the Dog Dr tried everything. Two Operations later.... 40cm of intestine missing and I still have the potential for a third operation. Me Mam looks pail and faint every time I cough as this could mean more money.
Me Mam is nice and kind and had common sense to get Dog Insurance but that will only cover a portion of my Dog Dr and hospital bills. I don't want to cause her no more grief so I am asking for help to help her pay the bills. She loves me and looks after me so well and wants me to grow up and live my 14 plus years.
Everyone loves their fur family members and although we can cause problems we don't mean too. Any little donation would be amazing.
Money will go towards paying the vet bills. Funds left over will go towards food and supplies for foster care animal families via the vet.
Alfie on the home stretch to good health. 28 November 2019
As of Today Alfie is back to his old self. The vets gave him the all clear on Monday, removed the cannula from his leg and stitches will be removed this coming Monday.
He will spend his time outside his crate with a muzzle until he is one to stop him from being a hoover of all things. Fingers crossed the bad habit is done and he lives a long healthy life.
Thank you so much. Alfie is back to his old self and stitches out Monday. Fingers crossed no more operations 🐾❤
