Beau's Christmas Crisis! Emergency surgery on Boxing day.

  • A big thank you from Beau and our whānau 💙

We can’t express enough how thankful we are to everyone who has supported us with Beau’s fundraiser. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve been able to raise $2,845 towards his vet bills!

To everyone that ate far too much brownie (no such person exists!), to everyone who shared said brownie, or shared our page or our story and to everyone who gave a kind word. Thank you. 🙏

Beau is doing wonderfully now, and it’s amazing to see how far he’s come! If you saw him today, you wouldn’t believe he was ever so sick. He is back to his playful, quirky self - though we’re still keeping a careful eye on him around toys as we never ever want him to experience the pain and discomfort he did over Christmas!

Our page is closing next week, and your kindness has truly meant the world to us. We wanted to get in before it closes and thank you again for helping us give Beau the care he needed. 🐕❤️

E rere ana ngā mihi atu ki a koutou, you're all awesome!

Beau continues to do really well in his recovery, with his wound now healed and was able to make a visit to his favourite place! Zoomie zone. He ran out of steam after just a few ball throws, but was just so excited to be back doing what he loves!.

Thank you all so much for your support and care over this time.

    Tēnā tātou,

We're absolutely thrilled to share that Beau is getting back to his old self! He's full of energy and wagging his tail again. It's been amazing to see his personality come back to life.

We're still sticking to the vet's dietary restrictions, and other than that, he's been doing great. The wound is healing well, and we've been given the all-clear on vet visits for now – which is super choice!

To celebrate his recovery, we took him for a short walk around the block. He loved getting some fresh air and exploring the neighborhood. He's even had his little toddler mate stay for a sleep-over. Seeing them laying together in the sun is awesome.

We're so grateful for your support throughout this journey. Your generosity has made all the difference in Beau's recovery.

    Ngā mihi again for everything!

    Sincerely,

    The Beau's People

    Tēnā tātou,

We're thrilled to share some positive updates on Beau's recovery journey!

Beau recently had a follow-up vet visit and got his stitches out. The vet is pleased with his progress and has prescribed him new medication to continue his healing.

To keep Beau's energetic spirit up, we took him on a short (Vet approved) walk around the block. It was a fantastic way to combat cabin fever and get him some much-needed fresh air.

He is now able to add boiled kūmara to his diet, and he's back on his dog roll that he likes as well! Seeing him woof down his meals is a massive relief as his appetite returns.

We're incredibly grateful for your ongoing support throughout Beau's treatment. Your contributions have made a real difference in his recovery.

We'll continue to keep you updated on Beau's progress. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you again for your kindness and generosity.

    Ngā mihi manahau,

    The Beau's Humans

  • Ngā mihi o te Tau Hou Pākehā from Beau!

We wanted to close out 2024 sharing an update on Beau's recovery, and to express our heartfelt mihi for all the incredible support.

Beau is doing well, and back to eating (chicken only at the moment) and getting his cheeky spark back. Beau's bro, Kōpuni, is even chipping in to eat whatever Beau can't stomach. We took him in to see Dr Christine Mander at PetVet Silverstream for a wound check and to get some antibiotics.

Your generous donations have contributed massively to covering his medical expenses and healthy hunger for fresh chicken. We are so grateful for your compassion and kindness. Every contribution, every koha, every kind message, and words of support helps :)

To the fantastic Sally Cory at Wellington After Hours Emergency Vet Clinic, Chris Mander, Geraldine Sykes, and all the other choice as people at PetVet Silverstream we can't thank you enough for your tireless efforts to keep our Beau safe.

Ngā mihi mana hou ki a koutou katoa, ngā mihi o te tau hou! Happy new year from all of us to all of you.
