They are a bit concerned about her weight gain as she only weighed in at 1005g today so only 16g over 3 days. So they are adding Sodium 4 times a day to help her out and increasing her feed slightly. So will assess in a few days time again
Celeste wasn’t doing to well today, but not as bad as she was doing over the weekend. They tried to reduce her morphine but she was just too irritable last night so the had to put it back to the amount it was on (very small dose) so she settled again. Her oxygen level went back up to 100% overnight but when they put her back on her tummy she is better. So down to 70% when I called at 11 this morning when I was on my way there - by the time I left she was back up to 80-85%. Yesterday she was right down to 58% for a time. Unfortunately she also had a spill - some of my milk came out of her mouth overnight. So she is up to 12ml now as she was digesting my milk well in the last feed. So a little step back today but we will just try not to get too worried and trust that God’s favour continues to shine on our lives and that she will pick up again tomorrow and just slowly but surely get better.
