Beautiful Charlie needs your help to pay for her urgently needed surgery so she can continue to live her best life pain free.

    Charlie came through her first surgery so well, (ok, there were some dramatic days, and some seriously good pain killers involved), but she is a brave, strong and resilient girl and on Tuesday 22 August she went in for her second surgery.

    So she's back to life in crates and wearing pants and trying her hardest to be a good girl and rest - it's not an easy task!

    Unfortunately we have not been able to reach our fundraising target despite the many generous donations to date and now we are faced with a significant vet bill that we will struggle to cover without reaching our target. We don't get funding for these things, it all needs to be covered by fundraising and generous donations from kind hearted people like yourselves.

    If you can help us cover the balance of this bill, we would be ever so thankful, and so will Charlie and her amazing family. It’s been a painful roller coaster for all, but these surgeries will give this precious girl a totally new lease on life 😊

    Beautiful Charlie is doing amazing in recovery following her cruciate ligament surgery yesterday 🥰

    Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far to help with the costs of this much needed surgery. Charlie deserves to live a pain free and full life being so young 💕

    We are still needing donations for the remaining balance of the total bill 💔

  • 2 Days to Go!

    Charlie only has 2 days to wait until her surgery on Thursday 1 June! We are all very excited and optimistic for Charlie's pain free future, but we are still only half way to being able to pay for it :( The amazing Wanganui Vets are allowing us to pay off the balance in a couple of instalments, but the pressure is really on now to find the additional funds as quickly as possible. We are all so grateful to everyone who has already donated - your generosity has blown us away. Here's to meeting our target in the next couple of weeks!

  • X-rays Done

    Hey everyone! Charlie has had some x-rays done and we are now awaiting the results to see exactly what kind of surgery will be required. She was a bit groggy after the anaesthetic, but bounced back to her normal self the next day. She still needs daily painkillers to be able to function, but being a young, energetic dog, she doesn't understand that rest is what she needs, so the sooner we can get her this crucial surgery, the better! Charlie says thank you all very much for your kind and generous donations :)
