Beauty Antix, Wairoa Flood Relief Fund

We’re asking for support for our incredible customer Amber Forrest whose Wairoa business, Beauty Antix, has been destroyed by flood damage from Cyclone Gabrielle.

Amber has been a loyal stockist and ambassador for Dermalogica for over 15 years, but more importantly is an incredible supporter of our industry and the Wairoa community. She believes deeply in educating young Wairoa people to ultimately empower them to have control and independence over their own lives. She has developed and mentored many young women over the years starting out in the beauty industry and she has big plans to continue this work in the future.

Amber has worked incredibly hard for everything that she has achieved, starting out in the industry in a local pharmacy to now having her own award-winning business which employs a team of 4 local Wairoa women. In 2021 Beauty Antix won Clinic of the Year at the NZ Beauty Awards and just last year Amber was a recipient of the MWDI Maori Businesswoman’s Award for the Ikaroa region. She is a pillar of the Wairoa community, and we know that by getting her business back up and running this will give strength to others to keep going too.

At Dermalogica we speak about being a subtribe of a much bigger tribe – and that is the beauty industry. In times of hardship a tribe comes together to support each other. We now invite our industry and anyone else who would like to support an incredibly well-deserving business owner and team to get back to business.

Amber did have insurance for the premises but she didn’t have income protection insurance and she employs 4 staff.
