Becki held her celebration of life party on Sunday, this was brought forward from September as there has been a progression of the cancer. Unfortunately the cancer has started to win. Symptoms have increased quickly these last few weeks, particularly the pain and tiredness.

The gold plated drug - although sounding great. Came with a collection of numerous counteractive medications required and a whole new set of potential side effects.

Becki is in the deciding place of whether quality of time over quantity is the best decision now.

As you can imagine, these decisions are not made lightly - and if you have listened to Beckis recent podcast you'll have even more understanding of the last three years and Becki's ability to find the silver lining in every situation.

The silver lining now, precious time with her favourite people.

Last week, Becki was an inpatient in Hospice for pain management. This initially had some success, which may be attributed to the recent radiation therapy. The pain has now mostly returned.

This means Becki's fight is now about alternative therapies, continuing to have the best possible comfort level - while continuing to make memories with her close family and friends.

The costs continue, and this funding will now be spent on the alternative therapies, and to cover the next stage.

This next part will be for Becki's kids and making sure they have support with costs, for all that they need.

  • Treatment plan update 🤞 🥊 🌻

      15 July 2026

I'm writing this update on behalf of Becki from a remote community in the Outback.

I have had daily updates from Becki, and the biggest thing that needs to happen right now is to manage the pain and start the next cycle of treatment.

Those who have seen Becki lately, will no doubt have noticed the discomfort. What I've noticed, there is never any complaining. Any mention of pain or concerns are quickly followed up with "nobody wants to listen to someone complain" and Becki just gets on with it. 🥹

The plan from here is 5 blasts of radiation to help ease pain. This radiation uses smaller, carefully targeted doses to prioritize comfort and improve quality of life.

Let's hope we can zap that pain away. 🤞

The next treatment is Cetuximab - a non funded IV infusion every 2 weeks for 12 cycles - which comes with the cost of $50,119.70

The aim of this medication in very simple terms is to block the cancer cell growth, and then identifying and marking of the cancer cells for the immune system to use the bodies own immune cells to fight.

Becki is doing an amazing fight - let's hope and pray these drugs are on her team ♥️

Encorafenib is used in combination with Cetuximab at a cost of $37,125

It makes me incredibly angry to know these medications are funded here in Aus and we're having to self fund in NZ - it's just not right 🥹

The support so far is incredible - however, if you have any fundraising ideas to further the momentum of this page - reach out.

  • Appreciation update 😌

      28 June 2026

    Thank you all!

I never expected this to take off quite as it has - although I should have. I know how much Becki is loved, far and wide - I have watched this incredible lady show up and give her positive attitude day after day for nearly 3 years, since this whole battle began.

I can see in her beautiful children - Maddi & Jacko the resilience, humour and kindness that Becki also shows on the daily.

I am currently further away than you can imagine. In situations like this, it feels further.

I chatted to Becki yesterday - she said as always. "The fight is not over. That mother f*+#en cancer can get f*#!ked!"

The new medication at Salutis will bridge the gap between the trial starting. Both of these options come with a wait time. Salutis is a private Oncology clinic - Private costs. Then the medication will cost.

You have all helped relieve some of the financial burden, and have left time for Becki, Steve and family to think about making memories and more important things.

    🩷🙏
