The funds will help a community group of farmers set up a bee keeping project in Nakaloke, Uganda.
International
Hwege International is a NGO is based in Nakaloke Town Council, providing a range of services to the local communities from food security to advocating children's rights. My friend Richard Mwima, is part of the group and works with farmers to bring self-reliance and empowerment back to the community. Richard is looking at setting up a bee keeping project for a group of farmers in Nakaloke and after financial assistance. Please help raise funds for this great initiative.
When I was 18 I spend 5 months teaching sustainable organic farming to children and adults in Nakaloke, Uganda. Richard Mwima was the key informer on the program, which meant as a local resident he introduced us to groups in the community. Richard and I became friends while I was working as a volunteer in Nakaloke and since my time there we have stayed in contact. Richard is involved in many initiatives to help reduce poverty and help bring prosperity to the village, including doing agriculture course, continuing teaching sustainable organic farming in the community and helping those who suffer, including working with orphans and vulnerable children. Richard is a truly amazing person who I would like to help with your support.
The funds will go towards a group of farmers to buy the following supplies and help them to get started: 5 suits, 5 smokers, 5 sets of gumboots, 10 modern hives and a demonstration on bee keeping at the Apiary Farm in Nakaloke.
