I have the honour to represent New Zealand in the 2018 Lacrosse World Cup. With your generous support this goal could become a reality.
Auckland
In early 2018 I was chosen as part of a 23 man squad to represent New Zealand in the Lacrosse World Cup. The world cup will take part in Tel-Aviv, Israel in July from the 12th to the 21st.
Alongside the rigorous training and preparation required to perform on the world stage, the trip also is self-funded by the players themselves. With your generous support the $8000 trip, gives me the opportunity, and honour to represent my country at the young age of 20.
In 6 Months I aim to become better, fitter and stronger with my goal to be a key member of our squad.
Now, I here you ask what is lacrosse? Lacrosse is a contact sport with two teams of ten, the teams objective is to score in the opponents goal, while aiming to keep the opposition from scoring. New Zealand, although relatively new to the sport (2000) has shown true promise in recent world cups, finishing 12th in 2014. This year, New Zealand Lacrosse aims to beat that goal searching for a top 10 position with the chance to play some of the highest level teams in the world.
In Closing, it has been my dream ever since playing sport to represent New Zealand in a sport, after playing for the U18 team in 2015, I hope to do it again by playing on the world stage. With your help I can achieve this goal, and hope to do you all proud.
Thank you for your support in any way you can.
