Support for the Bennett Family

For the Bennett family who have lost their sole provider in a tragic fishing accident. On Sunday the 18th of October the FV Jubilee sank in a rough seas 22k of the Rakaia River mouth, taking the lives of all 3 on board.

Skipper Paul Bennett left behind partner Angela , Isaac 15 , Levi 4 and Ollie 2. Parents Sue and Graham, Siblings Bryce and Lisa.

Paul worked hard to provide for his family. With Paul now gone the family are going to struggle to pay for funeral costs and living expenses. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

My brother in-law Paul Russell Bennett the father of Isaac, Levi and Ollie Bennett, fishing vessel has sank in severe storms off the Canterbury Coast last Sunday.

When they arrived to the scene they found an empty life raft which the crew were heading for. Our heart's sunk at the news.

Paul was a man of good character, he gave me a home when I needed it and taught me how to ride a dirt bike, took me hunting, told things as they were and had a quick witted humour.

He was a hunter, a fisherman, a hands on kind of guy, a great father and my sisters love and best friend who have created two wonderful baby boys together that are their world to them.

Everyone who knew him will have their own personal perception of who Paul Bennett was, however this is a part of mine. Paul you will be well missed by everyone who knew you. Rest easy buddy.

I ask everyone that I know if you have a little to give to please give a little to help lighten the load on the Bennett family through this tough time.
