GO THE DISTANCE with Bishop Steve and Rev Matt to support Bishopdale to train Christian leaders.
Nelson / Tasman
Join with us to support Bishopdale’s important work in our communities.
For over 160 years Bishopdale College has been faithful to Bishop Suter’s original vision of training Christian leaders in character and theory - in their own setting.
Over that time hundreds have studied at Bishopdale College and gone on to help lead our churches and parishes.
On May 9 Bishop Steve and Reverend Matt Watts will run the South Island Ultra 100km as part of our 2026 campaign to raise funds for Bishopdale College
Our goal is to raise $20,000 - the first stage towards raising our annual target of $120,000 for Bishopdale College and growing its support base.
Give a little now to sponsor Steve and Matt - and support the amazing and vital work of Bishopdale College.
Bishopdale College is a community of study and training, with a vision for deepening faith and increasing obedience to God’s call. We train leaders locally in character and theology to serve local churches and their communities.
Funds raised will support Bishopdale's ongoing training of Christian leaders.
A Prayer 7 May 2026
Kia ora koutou! We would like to share a prayer with you to join us in on Saturday. This was shared in a Nelson Anglicans Kōrero article.
God of endurance, be with Bishop Steve and Reverend Matt as they run for you today.
As they move forward, mile by mile, may they find strength when they feel weak, hope when the road feels long, and joy in every step that carries them closer to the finish.
May they sense the wider community of faith cheering him on, and your Spirit as their backs.
Protect their bodies, give them energy, and make them sure footed as they run the race for you.
We also thank you for the gift of Bishopdale College, and ask that you would bless it with the resources and students it needs to serve your church.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.
